All About Lindsey
Lindsey Brunelle grew up in a small town in New Hampshire and lived there up until she left for college. Despite living in a rural town, music, theatre, and dance have always been a huge part of her life. She started dancing when she was 3 years old and never stopped. She danced competitively for 10 years, took piano classes, and started attending musical theatre camps every summer. As the time rolled around for her to choose a major for college, she decided that musical theatre was something she wanted to do as a career for the rest of her life. Lindsey realized that life is always going to be difficult, so she may as well do what she loves.
She attended Plymouth State University where she started her first year as a Theatre Arts major with an option in Music Theatre Performance. Over the years, she included a contract in Theatrical Dance and a minor in Standardized Patient Training, and became more involved in the many opportunities within the Silver Center for the Arts. She worked as a stage manager for the various recitals and gigs in the Silver Center, and began working in the scenic shop as a carpenter in her junior year. Lindsey was the Business Director of PSU's treble acapella group, Mixed Emotions, for two years and was the president of PSU's improv troupes Plymprov and Plymouth Players for a year.
After graduating, Lindsey wasted no time getting into the professional world. She started a company called Theatrical Pathways LLC with her cofounder, Emily King, to make theatre more accessible to schools and communities. Aside from running her business, she is a dance and theatre instructor at the Seacoast Repertory Theatre. She occasionally returns to Plymouth State University to work as a standardized patient for their nursing, physical therapy, and counseling departments; and throughout the year she has also performed with/choreographed for various theatre companies in NH such as Advice to the Players, the Winnipesaukee Playhouse, Articine, the Rochester Opera House, and the Seacoast Repertory Theatre.
